Born Stephan Zimmerman of Damascus, MD, he picked up the guitar at an early age only to find himself waking from day dreams still playing. The name "Stefan" is in rememberance of his older sister, Stefanie.  His first concert was seeing John Fogerty from CCR, but The Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Tom Petty or Bob Seger were no strangers. He began finding interests in local bands and set his sights on the Frederick, Maryland music scene, where he frequented open mics and began running sound for a few. In 2013, Edward Martin was created between producer Timothy Martin and Stephan Edward. They played for a few months and released 2 tracks before Timothy needed to relocate. With Tim gone, Stephan has continued playing and performing as solo artist, Stefan Edward!
