The Fun Boys are comprised of four of Frederick's most feral staple musicians. Bassist Matt Dabson, drummer Kevin Etzler, keyboardist Colin Shultzaberger, and maestro Samuel Whalen, join forces to present theatrical, improvised, humorous, topical, rowdy, motivational, sexual music.
Their goal is to cover as many genres as possible, but they have simply labeled themselves as a jazz-art-rock outfit. The Fun Boys' influences range from early Zappa to Brian Wilson, from Kid Cudi to Man Man, while also utilizing theatrical inspiration from Buster Keaton, The Marx Brothers, Chevy Chase, and The Birthday Boys.
Please join us for a night of music featuring the hits of the past forty years mixed with over fifteen originals that will be on their upcoming album, Songs for Darla, which is expected to be released this December. For listeners of classic doo wop with a Klezmer spin, this is the show for you!
