Marzy Maddox, a modern prog metal band with a unique blend of raw, unshackled energy and sophisticated musicality. With unforgettable lyrics and addictive melodies, the music is percipient, experimental, and relentless.
Phoenix Johnson lead vocalist, bassist and founding member of Marzy Maddox delivers powerful and versatile vocals while intertwining distinctive and lyrical bass lines. He joins forces with the melodic, crunchy guitar finesse of Matt Earp who deftly weaves lead and rhythm guitar into one force majeure while interposing haunting, pure backup vocals. Andy Ham’s energetic, driving, technical drumming is both powerful and dynamic bringing the music home neat and tight with a fresh, solid groove.
Marshal Fuzz, an original DC based rock band that evokes the fuzzy blues rock tradition of classic rock bands such as Black Sabbath, The Jimi Hendrix Experience and Cream. Their sound has been described as a mesh of Black Sabbath and Muddy Waters. With Sulaiman Rahman on guitar and vocals, Vince Vezzi on bass, and Nick Rodousakis on drums they combine aggressive guitar riffs, extended live jams, soulful vocals and a tight rhythm section to capture the classic power trio sound with an original contemporary twist. What a rock band should be!! Formed in 2014, they spent most of the year in the studio writing material and developing their sound. They emerged out of rehearsals to begin tearing up the DC/MD/VA Mid-Atlantic scene, establishing themselves as THE force to be reckoned with on any stage.
